Mit einer per Staatsvertrag abgesicherten Filiale in den USA. Diese Filiale in New Mexico „lädt“ Bundeswirtschaftsministerium zum „Besuch“ in USA ein. Dort erhöht der teilweise auch bundesdeutsche Konzern gerade die Anreicherung des spaltbaren Uran Isotop 235. Standard war seit den 60er Jahren bei der Atomstromerzeugung ein Grad von 4 +- im Brennstoff. URENCO USA ist dabei jetzt auf einen Grad von 10 Prozent zu erhöhen. Im URENCO-Staat Großbritannien der Konzern Anreicherungen von Uran235 auf knapp unterhalb der Atomwaffenschwelle von 20 Prozent anstreben. Russland und inzwischen USA und Frankreich sind dabei, auf bis zu 20 Prozent anzureichern, um die Atomenergie „billiger“ zu machen. Technisch mehr als nur „Hightech“. Meist Science Fiction. Deutschland, das Uran und die USA… Eine Einladung. Ob sie angenommen wurde?

On behalf of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, I am writing to formally invite
representatives from your government to visit the Urenco USA uranium enrichment facility in
Eunice, New Mexico from March 3-7, 2025. The purpose of this visit is to provide you with an
opportunity to observe the progress being made in the restart of operations at the Centrifuge
Assembly Building operated by Enrichment Technology, USA.
This invitation reflects our ongoing commitment to the terms of the 1992 Treaty of Washington
(Treaty). We recognize the importance of maintaining transparency and fostering trust as we
work collaboratively to fulfill our obligations under the Treaty. We believe this visit will serve as a
valuable platform for reinforcing our shared commitment to the Treaty’s principles and
addressing any questions or concerns your representatives might have.
